Çocukluğumdan bu yana güzel yerlere büyük bir hayranlığım vardı; bu hayranlık daha çok Avrupa’ya yaptığım seyahatlerle oluştu. 2003 yılında digital kameramı aldığımdan bu yana gittiğim her yerde karşılaştığım güzellikleri kaydetmeye çalışıyorum. İlerleyen yıllarda doğa ve manzara konusunda çeşitli makaleler ve kitaplar okuyarak sürekli bir öğrenme sürecine girdim.  Bu konuda birçok pratiğim oldu; boş zamanlarımda tekniğimi ilerletmek için uğraştım. Temel inancımı “en iyi fotoğrafımı henüz çekmedim” düşüncesi üzerine kurdum.

Çektiğim fotoğrafların çoğu o “sihirli saat” denilen zamanda çekildi. Doğanın bizi olağanüstü birşeyler olacakmışçasına sarmaladığı gündoğumu ve günbatımı saatleri en sevdiğim zamanlardı. Bu anlara tanık olmak fotoğrafların kendisinden bile daha özeldi.

Fotoğraflarım Portekiz’de birçok dergide yayınlandı ve birçok karma sergiye katıldım. 2004’ün sonunda tamamen fotoğraf konulu olan ve sık sık güncellenen websitemin – www.nunoluis ilk versiyonu yayına girdi. Web sitesinden son çalışmalarıma gözatabilirsiniz.

My love for beautiful places and landscapes grew with me since childhood, mainly influenced by the trips I made around Europe. Since 2003 - with the purchase of my first digital camera - I began trying to register the beauty I was facing everywhere I went. In the following years I tried to maintain a constant process of learning, through the search of articles and reading of books on the subject of natural landscape. I added a lot of practice to all this theory, dedicating a great deal of my spare time in improving my technical skills as it is my conviction that "my best photograph is one I haven't taken yet".

Currently, most of my shots are taken during the so-called "magic hour". Sunset and sunrise are my favorite times to be in natural settings, moments where the light and nature that surrounds us can really craft something unique. The ability to witness these moments is somethimes more worthy than the pictures themselves.

I published my photos in some Portuguese magazines and I have participated in several joint exhibitions. At the end of 2004 the first version of my own website - www.nunoluis.net - went online, completely devoted to photography and frequently uptdated.
