İtalya (Potenza)’da dünyaya geldim ama 1999’da 27 yaşındayken Roma’ya taşındım. Birkaç hafta evvel iş için Dublin’e yerleştim.

Fotoğrafçılığa,  Roma’da kendi kendime başladım ama sonra hem teknik konularda hem de özellikle benim gibi profesyonel olmayan kişilerle kıyas için bir okula ihtiyacım olduğunu anladım.

Böylece 4 yıl, özellikle siyah-beyaz ve karanlık oda konularında eğitim veren, Roma sanat okulları idaresine bağlı Ettore Rolli’de okudum. Bu okul bana fotoğrafçılığı ve onun potansiyel gücünü daha yüksek bir bilinçle anlama fırsatını tanıdı.

Bu yıllar süresince, siyah-beyaz güzel sanatlar baskıları konusuna daha çok hevesli duydum ve şimdi neredeyse her çekimimi siyah beyaz ve filmli olarak yapıyorum. (Fotoğraflarımı karanlık odada kendim basıyorum ama baskılar için dijitale geçmeyi düşünüyorum)

Bu yıllarda benim ilgim, aslında daha çok; şehirlerin şu anki halleri, onların simgeleri ve olmayan şehirler hakkındaki projelerle seyahat ve sokak fotoğrafçılığına odaklanmıştı.

I was born in the south of Italy (Potenza) but moved to Rome in 1999, at the age of 27. Few weeks ago I moved to Dublin, for work.

In Rome I started with photography, on my own, but soon I felt I needed some school both for better skills on technics, and, especially for a comparison with no professional people like me.

So I attended, for 4 years, the school Ettore Rolli, held by the council Arts school of the City of Rome, that focused mainly on black and white and darkroom. This school essentially gave me the opportunity to know, with an higher consciousness, the photography and recognize its potential strength.

During thses years, I became an eager of black and white fine art prints and now I shoot almost everything black and with with films (I print my pictures on my own, in the darkroom, but now I am thinking to pass to digital for the prints).

In these years my attention was essentially focused on travel photography and street photography, with some of the projects on what are cities now, their symbols and the non-places.
