Carlos ve Jason Sanchez, Montreal’de yaşayan ve çalışan genç sanatçılardan (sırasıyla 31 ve 26)  oluşmuş bir ekiptir. Fotoğrafları, kırık hikayeler gibi okunan ürkütücü tablolardır. Onlar, psikolojik manzaraları keşfeden harika ve karmaşık sahnelerdir. Bu Montrealli kardeşler, gizlenmiş hikaye konusunu çözme şansını izleyiciye bırakarak sinemayla ilgili ve içerikte zorlayan büyük ölçekli fotografik baskılar yaptılar. Bir sinema fotoğrafçısı olarak şaşırtıcı hikayeler ve gizem duygusuna ilaveten her fotoğraf tizizlikle sahnelenmiş ve biçimlenmiştir.


Geçen iki yıl içinde kardeşler, Kanada Sanat Komisyonu ve Kanada Dışişleri ve Uluslararası Ticaret Departmanı’ndan bağışlar almışlardır. Montreal, Toronto, New York, Houston, San Francisco ve uluslararası olarak ; Paris, Berlin, Nice, Madrid, Amsterdam ve Brüksel’de sergileri olmuştur. Çalışmaları Houston Güzel Sanatlar Müzesi, Montreal Çağdaş Sanatlar Müzesi, Quebec Güzel Sanatlar Ulusal Müzesi, Amsterdam Foam Fotoğraf Müzesi, Montreal Güzel Sanatlar Müzesi ve ABD Kentucky 21C Müzesi gibi pek çok halk koleksiyonlarında diğerleri arasında yer almıştır.

Carlos and Jason Sanchez are a team of young artists (31 and 26 respectively) living and working in Montreal. Their photographs are eerie tableaus that read like broken narratives; they are lush and complex scenes that explore psychological landscapes. Leaving the viewer with the chance to unlock the hidden storyline, these Montreal-based brothers create large-scale photographic prints that are cinematic in scope and compelling in content. Functioning as cinematographers, every photograph is cast and staged meticulously, adding to the intriguing narrative and sense of mystery that surrounds these stunning photographs. 

In the past two years the brothers have received grants from the Conseil des arts et des lettres du Québec, The Canada Council for the Arts and The Canadian Department of Foreign Affairs and International Trade. They have exhibited in Montreal, Toronto, New York, Houston, San Francisco and internationally in Paris, Berlin, Nice, Madrid, Amsterdam, and Brussels.  Their work are included in numerous public collections including The Museum of Fine Arts, Houston, Le Musée d’art contemporain de Montréal, Le Musée national des beaux-arts du Québec, Foam_Fotografiemuseum, Amsterdam, The Montreal Museum of Fine Arts and the 21C Museum in Kentucky, USA amongst others.
