İngiltere’de Cambridge’de yaşıyorum ve Cambridge Üniversitesi’nde araştırma yapıyorum. 2006’daki Ölüm Vadisi’ne yaptığım gezi sırasında peyzaj fotoğraflarına olan sevdamı belirginleştirdi ve basit ve güzel bir peyzaj olan bu sihirli yere tekrar gittim. İkonik mekanlara gittiğinizde her zaman denendiği üzere kendi izlenimlerimle bu peyzajı tanımlamaya uğraştım. Yazın ve kışın gezdiğim İngiltere sahillerine ve İskoç adalarına özel bir ilgim var. Manzaraları başkalaştıran, çabuk değişen ve hatta gerçek dışı, güzel ışığı bulmaya çalışıyorum. Fotoğraflarımda çok fazla düzenleme yapmıyorum ancak orada olduğum büyülü anı canlandırmayı deniyorum. Kış güneşi yumuşak oluşu ve değişkenliği ile özellikle favorim. Elbette düş kırıklığı ile geçen günler var ama beni mutlu eden, tatmin edici tek bir çekim bile sonucundan hiç memnun kalmadığım çekimleri telafi edebiliyor.

Bölgesel ve ulusal sergilemelerim var ve hem zorlu hem de fırsatlarla dolu olduğunu düşündüğüm Doğu İngiliz Fotoğrafçılar Federasyonu’nda fotoğrafik hakemim.

I live in Cambridge U.K and I am a research fellow at Cambridge University. It was my Death valley trip in 2006 that crystalised my love of landscape photography and I have revisted this magical place, it is a landscape that is simple and beautiful. I strive to express my own impression of the landscape which is always a challenge when you visit iconic places. I have a particular love of the British coastlines and the Scottish islands which I visit in summer and winter.  I strive to find beautiful light, a light that transforms the scenes, that is transient, almost unreal.  I do not overly manipulate my images but try to reproduce that magical moment of being there. Winter light is a particular favourite as it is soft and always changing.  There are always days of disappointment but one satisfying shoot can make up for all the image making that never produced a result that I was happy with.

I exhibit regionally and nationally and I am a photographic judge for The East Anglain Federation of photographers, which I find to be a rewarding but challenging task.
