Cevap: 2007'nin başlarında, Albertville, Minnesota'da çektim. Oturduğum yere pek uzak olmayan bir tarla burası.

Cevap: Bu fotoğrafım bir süreliğine bilgisayarımda duruyordu ama bu şekilde kullanacağımı hiç düşünmemiştim. Ta ki, photoshopta ilginç şeyler yapmaya başlayana kadar. Düzenleme olarak, biraz level adjusting, dodge ve burn tool kullandım. Ayrıca mermer dokusu ekledim.

Answer: The photo was taken at the beginning of 2007 in Albertville, Minnesota during the winter season.  The landscape is a farm field not to far from my residence.

Question: What kind of manipulations did you make before and/or after the shot?

Answer: I've had this photo stashed away for a while and didn't think I would ever use it, but since I developed a deeper interest in photoshop I was able to make it a much more interesting piece.  For editing there was some level adjusting, dodging and burning, and then a marble texture added.

Cevap: Fotoğrafta ekleme çıkarma yoktur. Art arda eklenmiş gibi duran fotoğraflar aslında çekilen karelerin baskını alarak tekrar çekmemden kaynaklanmaktadır. Photoshopta ise tonlama ve ışık/kontrast ayarı yaptım.

Cevap: Farklı katmanlar kullanarak sürreal bir otoportre elde etmek.

Answer: This photograph contains no manipulations beforehand, as it is actually a picture of four prints, which I photographed, printed, and repeated to create this effect. Post-editing was simply tone, colour, and brightness/contrast adjustment on Photoshop.

Answer: The subject matter of this photograph is a surreal self-portrait, using different layers.

Cevap: Fotoğrafı birkaç yıl önce çektim. O zamanlar yayınlamamıştım çünkü şimdiki kadar photoshop bilgim yoktu. Birkaç hafta önce bilgisayarımda bu karemi keşfedince, portfolyomda seri olarak sunmak istedim.

Cevap: Çalışmamda yoğun photoshop düzenlemesi var. Işık, açı, kontrast değiştirildi. Terkedilmişlik hissi vermesi için fil ve zürafa eklendi.

Answer: Well, the picture was taken some years ago i could not use it at this time because my skills in manipulation were not as well as now. I've found the picture few weeks ago in one of my picture folders so i decided to use it for one of my works in a series i was making at this time.

Answer: This work is heavily manipulated. The lightning,  gradation, contrasts were changed. Also the dalínistic elephant and giraffe, in my works called "the forsaken", were added in the photo.

Cevap: Fotoğraf, 14.12.2005 tarihinde, Sivas - Suşehri kuzeyinde, Ildır Dağı’nda çekildi. Modelim, doğalgaz Boru Hattı Etütü işinde çalışan işçi mühendislere kılavuzluk ediyor. Karlı, sisli soğuk bir gün. Isınmak için "geven" denilen otlar yakılmıştı. Ateş sönerken çıkan duman, göğün sisiyle karışıp, sabah ışığında beni bu manzarayla karşılaştırdı. O anki koşullarda cebimde taşıdığım kompakt ama yetenekli makineyi kullandım.

Question: When and where did you take this photo?

Answer: I shot the photo at the Ildır Mountain (north of the Sivas-Suşehri) on 14th december 2005. The model on the photo was gudie of the natural gas pipeline etude engineer employees. It was a snowy, foggy and cold day.They burn a special type of hay called as “geven” to warm themselves. I saw this scene after extinguishing of fire which led the smoke to raise and mix with the fog in the air in the morning light. I have used an intelligent compact camera which I carry in my pocket.

Soru: Bu fotoğrafta, çekim öncesi ve sonrasında yaptığınız müdahaleler nelerdir?

Cevap: Çekim öncesinde  tarağın plastik kısmının sökülmesi  ve kaktüs köklerinin temizlenmesi var. Daha sonra kaktüsün zarar görmemesi için  ikiye bölmeden, yatar pozisyonda üst yarısı dışarıda kalacak şekilde tahta kalıba sokuldu ve o şekilde fotoğraflandı. Daha sonradan kaktüsü çektiğimiz fotoğraftan, kenar gölgelerini düşürdüğü tahtayı birlikte kaktüsü alarak boş tahta tarak üzerinde uygulandı.

Cevap: Günlük hayattan bir metafor.

Question: What kind of manipulations did you make before and/or after the shot?

Answer: Before the shot I have removed the front part of the comb and cleaned the cactus roots. After that, I put the cactus in a wooden mould and photographed it that way for not to get it harmed. Cactus shot and comb shot were combined with the shade effects on their sides.

Answer: A methaphor from daily life.

Cevap: Photoshop CS2'de işledim. Farklı curves ve level ayarları uyguladım ve efektli bölümleri maskeledim. Kopyaladığım arka plan katmanına blur efekti verdim. Net olmasını istediğim bölümleri blur etkisinden kurtardım. Ayrıca "Pixelgenius" ve "Flaming Pear" adlı plug-inleri kullandım.

Answer: The photo is taken handheld from land, and processed with photoshop CS2. I used Adjustment layers with different curves and levels, and masked the areas they affected.

Gaussian blur has been added on a duplicated background layer, where i masked the areas where the blur would fit.

Also used plugins from pixelgenius and flaming pear.

Soru: Bu fotoğrafta, çekim öncesi ve sonrasında yaptığınız müdahaleler nelerdir?

Cevap: Öncelikle, uzun pozlama için  uygun ışık çok önemli, gündoğumları ve günbatımları bu teknik için en iyi zamanlar. High-key ve minimalist çalışmalar yaptığım için kompozisyonun sadeliğine özen gösteriyorum. Fotoğraf benim ve izleyicinin gözünü yormamalı. Doğru kompozisyon, doğru ışık ve tabii ki doğru ekipmanla zaten çekim sırasında istediğim sonucu alabiliyorum. Tabii destekleyici filtremi de unutmamalıyım :) Heliopan ND 8x. Geriye sadece ps ayarları kalıyor ki bu kısım bana göre işin sadece süsleme tarafı. Photoshopta fotoğrafı işlerken sadece level ayarları ile oynuyorum, çoğu zaman gerekte duymuyorum. Birde adjustments menüsünden photo filter deep yellow ile sevdiğim tonları elde ediyorum. Sonuç olarak fotoğrafım sunuma hazır hale geliyor.

Hayat başlı başına abartılı bir güzellik, içinde, küçük ama muhteşem detaylar var. Görebilene...

Question: What kind of manipulations did you make before and/or after the shot?

Answer: First of all, light is very important for long exposures, therefore sunrise and sunsets are the best times of day for the application of this technique. I care for the simplicitiy of the composition just because I usually make high-key and minimalist works. A photo must not fatigue my and viewers eye. I can get the right results with the correct composition, proper light, and with the appropriate equipment. I must not forget my supportive filter as well: Heliopan ND 8x. After all I only have to make some adjustements on Photoshop but this part is only for decoration. I only use level adjustements on Photoshop and I really do not need this most of the time. I add deep yellow from the adjustements/photo filter menu. Finally my photo becomes ready for presenting. Life itself is a great beauty which bears small but glorious details, for the sighted...
